Three barns for swine with the following facilities: Piglets: • a room (3.1) with sixteen pens of 2m2 and full slated floor that can accommodate 4 to 6 piglets per pen (max. 96 piglets) from weaning to 42-d later. • a room (4.1) with thirty-eight pens of 2m2 and full slated floor that can accommodate 4 to 6 piglets per pen (max. 228 piglets) from weaning to 42-d later. Fatteners: • a room (4.2) with thirty-two pens of 3.6 m2 and full slated floor that can accommodate 3 to 4 GF pigs per pen and 128 in total (max). • three similar rooms (6.1, 6.2, 6.3) with 16 pens each and full slated floor that can accommodate 3 to 4 pigs per pen, so for 192 GF pigs in total (max.). • a nursery room (6.4) with 8 pens (3 m2) and full slated floor to accommodate 3-4 pigs per pen. Our facilities also include a necropsy room for additional equipment. Facilities are designed to provide the best possible environment for pig research.
