- SEGES Innovation P/S, Grønhøj test station, has for many years contributed to the journey of innovative solutions within environmental technology and nutrition/feeding of weaners and grower-finishers. The herd includes approximately 9,100 weaner and finisher pigs per year. The test station holds 120 pens for weaners and 200 pens for grower-finishers. The pigs are fed using the precision-controlled Spotmix feeding system and feed intake is registered at pen level. Moreover, the test station holds 46 feeding stations for grower-finishers with individual registration of feed intake. For the development of environmental technologies, the test station holds 18 climate chambers, with two grower-finishers pens in each, to measure climate gases directly. Furthermore, the test station includes facili-ties for ileal and fecal digestibility trials.
