- Pilot feed manufacturing plant: produce from 25 to 2500 kg of feed per treatment. Warehouse that has all the necessary equipment for the production of granulated and extruded feed (raw material silos, scales, mills, mixers of different sizes, conditioners, granulators, extruder, coolers...). This plant allows the formulation, high-precision dosing, control and handling of both large and small quantities of mixtures, rations and experimental feeds. Food and animal products analysis laboratory: it is equipped for bromatological determinations in raw materials, by-products and products of animal origin, feces, slurry, biogas production or determination of atmospheric pollutants in livestock farming. The equipment includes stoves, muffles, a LECO elemental analyzer, a Kjeldahl equipment, a Soxlet equipment, a bomb calorimeter, an Ankom equipment, a Julie C-3 analyzer, Elisa Multiscan RX plate reader, and automatic photometric readers. It also has the methodology and equipment for nutritional assessments using in vitro techniques and enzymatic activity. Chromatography laboratory: it is prepared for the analysis of amino acids, fatty acids, methane and progesterone, etc. It has a high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) with automatic injector and fluorescence and ultraviolet detectors, and two gas chromatographs with automatic injectors and flame ionization detectors (FID). For sample preparation, it has a vacuum centrifugal freeze-dryer-concentrator, rotary evaporator, centrifuge, filtration equipment, stirrers and homogenizers.
