Additional information
- We have an outdoor Experimental facility for pigs with capacity to separate 3 experimental groups (3 parks) and control individual feed intake of 12 animals per group/park (in individual feeders). In each park animals have a free surface of about 100 m2 per pig, permanent water supply (drinkers in each feeder), shadows and group shelters. It has been used for several research projects with a local pig breed (Alentejano/Iberian) related to animal feeding or, currently related to immunocastration. We have a pig herd of 15 Alentejano breed sows and 5 Bísaro breed sows.
